Kabul jan Full music video clip by Dilagha SuroodA nice sound about Kabul jan. I was not born in Kabul but I love it more then any city in the world. I have been to kabul many times. Kabul has been destroyed, by Russians, and by civil war. In 30 years of war, It may take next 30 years to build Kabul jan back the way it was in 1970s. We would never be in peace unless we have Our Durand Line Back. Durand Line Belongs to Afghanistan and it has always been. There are 12 Million Afghans on the Other side of the So called International Border. But Its not International Border. Pakistan is british made country just like Israel was created by American (In fact Israel Is fare better then Pakistan at least they have freedome of speach). Pakistan is the dirty mark of Asia. Unless they give us our People back or It needs to be wiped out of Map. Pakistan is not an Islamic Nation. Afghans From Both side of the Border thought this would be Iqbals dream an Islamic nation, which would soon reach Turkey but this Pakistan was a dirty name not a clean name. It has puttin the Pure/clean name of Islam into dirt. And here we muslims suffer the most. As long As Pakistan occupied our Land, and killing our people (Wazeristan), we would never stop, we shell do Jehad. Pakistan is very aware of this And that's why they would kept trying to break Afghan hearts and the Afghan Nation so that we can never turn our eyes on Pashtunistan. Pashtunistan (Balochistan/NWFP) is always there and always would be in our blood. For My people. Points are clear ... |

Kabul Lights Up - ADBNovember 2008 Journalist Yalda Hakim returns to her native country of Afghanistan. Here she documents the appalling living standards and the ravages caused by heroin addiction. Both shocking and emotional. Im so fearful. Every day I think, "Will that car in front of me explode?" Welcome to Afghanistans harsh reality. The Taliban are at the door and insecurity is getting worse. But its not the only issue. I became addicted out of misery and frustration. A man sitting outside a derelict building shows Yalda his amputated thigh. Inside, used needles carpet the floor and hang from the ceilings. Heroin is cheaper than alcohol. You've already destroyed our country. Now we eat the poison, the rich and powerful eat the dollars. Later, Yalda visits the only rehab clinic for women and children. When I wasnt smoking, my body was in pain. Gul Pari is only twelve. Shes been addicted for six years. There are many children like her. Despite faint glimmers of hope, their future looks very uncertain. Produced by SBS/Dateline Distributed by Journeyman Pictures |

Yalda's Kabul - AfghanistanDec 2003 Under the Taliban, Afghan women risked everything to be beautiful. Now the US fashion industry is helping them open their own beauty parlours and achieve financial independence. Sima Calkin has not seen her home country of Afghanistan for 23 years. Now she is returning to advise local women about running their own beauty salons. It's all thanks to a new scheme aimed at restoring dignity and self respect to the women of Afghanistan. But the war ravaged country she flies into bears no resemblance to the lush paradise of her childhood. "I am in shock ... it's mind boggling to see what has happened," she despairs. She is also racked by guilt for having abandoned her country in its hour of need. By teaching the women to become beauticians, she hopes she can make amends. And there are plenty of women desperate to be taught these valuable new skills. Beauticians in Kabul earn much more than doctors or labourers. In a country where 60% of women are widows and many are the main breadwinners, working as beauticians offers a real opportunity to improve their lives. Lily Allen - Kabul ShitAn Afghan inquiry has said an attack in the heart of Kabul on January 18, that left five dead and 38 others wounded, was ordered by an Afghan commander in Pakistan who was part of the Haqqani network- a group allied to the Taliban and al-Qaeda. Their evidence comes from a man arrested 24-hours after the assault, who admitted he sheltered the suicide bombers and took them to some of their targets in Kabul. The Afghan intelligence agency also showed confessions from men responsible for previous suicide bombings who admitted they had received their training in Pakistan. Al Jazeera's David Chater reports from Kabul. 26 Jan 2010 |
